Do you have a child or know of a student who will attend Salt River Elementary School and be a kindergartener during the 2021-2022 school year? SRES will offer a free, four-week pre-Kindergarten summer school program to introduce students and families to the new school environment.

During this summer program, rising Kinder students learn about school routines and participate in group activities. These activities promote social interactions and introduce students to school readiness skills for kindergarten success. Other student activities include reading, writing, math, fine and gross motor skills, and art.

Students will be served breakfast and lunch at school. Parent participation is encouraged through parent meetings and weekly Make-and-Take activities.

First priority program acceptance will be given to students who have not received any early childhood services (preschool, ECEC, child care, etc.). Second priority will be given to students who have received some early childhood services, but who have special needs that make transition services beneficial.

Class size is limited. Students must submit two forms to enroll: (1) The Summer 2021 First Things First Pre-Kindergarten Student Application; and (2) a New Student Enrollment packet.
