Salt River Elementary School honors student behavior and achievement by nominated students from every grade for Student of the Month. Then, SRES staff vote for one Lower Elementary (FACE-2nd Grade) student and one Upper Elementary (3rd-6th Grade) student to be recognized in front of the Education Board at their first meeting of the month.
The following students will be recognized at the December 4 Education Board meeting:
- The Burns Family, FACE Home Base: My Home-based family of the month goes to The Burns Family; I am honored to watch Grandma Shannon and her two granddaughters grow. Shannon is a busy grandma. She put her heart and soul into raising wonderful kids and grandkids. Shannon is a loving and nurturing grandparent. She is currently teaching them their O’odham culture and travels with them to different events. Jasmine and Anya have grown so much. They are beautiful little girls and so smart. Jasmine has taken her first few steps and Anaya is learning her colors and numbers. I am proud to see my Burns family grow beautifully. Proud of all three of you. (Nominated by Lindsay Cuch)
- Madisen White, 6th Grade: Madisen pays attention, does her work, treats others with kindness, and sets a good example for others. Her teachers know that Madisen will always be giving her best. Madisen is such a great student, we know she will do well in her future classes. Madisen is very deserving of Student of the Month. (Nominated by Ms. Yellowhair)
Congratulations to Madisen and the Burns Family! We also want to highlight all the students who were nominated for the month of November.
