Welcome to “Bring PE to Your Family Week!" Attached are grade-level activities SRES students should complete this week with their families. The activities are videos to watch and then complete; videos are embedded in the PDFs on page 3 (lesson 1) and page 4 (lesson 2).
Within your grade level, you can choose to complete both lessons or just one, or pick items off both menus that you would like to try.
Remember: You can earn 15 WellPath points! Be safe and have fun!

A message from Coach B:
I’m excited to announce that Salt River Elementary School will participate in Bring PE to Your Family Week from Monday, Nov. 30, through Friday, Dec. 4. You can even earn 15 WellPath points for participating!
This is our first year participating in this annual event; this year, the activities are designed to be enjoyed at home. In years past, our school hosted a Family Fitness Fun Night in the early spring, which we hope to be able to do again next semester (either virtually or safely in-person!).
This is how Bring PE to Your Family Week will work:
- Complete the activities as a family. Your student will receive activities to complete at home the same way we’ve done PE lessons all school year—through ClassDojo and the SRES PE page. The activities come here.
- Share your experience (successes and bloopers welcome!) with us. The national sponsor of this event, Active Schools, encourages families to share photos and videos on social media of your family completing the activities using the tag #FamiliesLovePE. Or, email your photos and videos with Taté Walker, School Communications & PR Director, and with your permission we’ll post these on our social media platforms.
- Earn WellPath points! Provide simple evidence of your participation (video, screenshots, etc.) and upload it into your MyWellPath account under “SRP-MIC Bring Your Family to PE Week."
Bring PE to Your Family Week is meant to give families a better understanding of the teaching and learning that goes on in physical education. We want you to experience firsthand the fun and engaging activities helping to keep students healthy and active. Studies show that daily physical activity has many benefits for all ages, such as increasing energy, focus, and readiness to learn, as well as reducing stress and anxiety. Being active is always important, but especially during the Covid-19 pandemic we’re all experiencing. Encouraging families to be active together is one of my physical education goals.
We hope you have fun, and we can’t wait for your family to participate in Bring PE to Your Family Week!
Sincerely,
Coach B
